Haemonetics’ VASCADE MVP® XL: New Study Shows Safety and Efficacy in Large-Bore Venous Access Closure

A new study published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology confirms the superior safety and efficacy of Haemonetics’ VASCADE MVP® XL vascular closure system over the original VASCADE MVP for large-bore venous access closure procedures. The study involved 574 patients undergoing catheter ablation and demonstrated a 0% bleeding complication rate and enhanced procedural success. The FDA has expanded the use of VASCADE MVP XL for larger procedural sheaths (10-14F ID and up to 17F OD), positioning it as a leading option for electrophysiology procedures. The findings will be discussed at the Heart Rhythm 2026 conference.
