Medtronic Affera™ Clinical Study Milestones for Sphere-9™ and Sphere-360™ Catheters

Medtronic announced key milestones in the Affera™ clinical study, highlighting promising data regarding the Sphere-9™ catheter for treating ventricular tachycardia (VT) and the Sphere-360™ catheter for atrial fibrillation (AFib). The Sphere-9 showed a 65.5% success rate in preventing VT recurrence at six months post-ablation. Both catheters are part of Medtronic’s efforts to improve cardiac arrhythmia treatment, with the Sphere-9 receiving Breakthrough Device Designation from the FDA. The Sphere-360 demonstrated 100% lesion durability in a European study, reinforcing the efficacy of these devices in various patient anatomies.
