CorTec’s Brain Interchange™ BCI System Enables Stroke Patient to Control Computer with his Mind
CorTec GmbH announced that the first participant in a clinical trial for their Brain Interchange™ BCI system has successfully controlled a computer with thought alone. This marked the first instance where a fully implanted, wireless BCI system has facilitated both therapeutic brain stimulation for stroke rehabilitation and thought-based computer control. The system demonstrated the ability to decode brain signals in real-time, enabling the patient to play a video game through thought alone.
