University of Arizona Leads Landmark Clinical Study Evaluating EPISEEK Pleural Fluid Liquid Biopsy Cancer Test

The University of Arizona, in collaboration with Precision Epigenomics Inc., has launched the CAMEO study to evaluate the EPISEEK-MPE liquid biopsy test aimed at earlier cancer detection. The study will enroll around 200 participants with various types of pleural effusions to assess the sensitivity and specificity of the test, which analyzes cell-free DNA methylation signatures. It seeks to improve diagnostic accuracy in cases where conventional methods fall short. The EPISEEK-MPE test may become commercially available in 2027 pending validation and regulatory requirements.
